Introduction to Imperial Feng Shui

Posted by Imperial Harvest on 16 September 2020

Estimated Reading Time: 3 mins

Imperial Feng Shui is an exclusive art of Feng Shui which was reserved for the Chinese Royal Family during the ancient Chinese dynasties.

For centuries, this closely-guarded branch of Feng Shui was highly favoured among the rich and powerful aristocrats for its practicality and proven effectiveness.

Unlike Classical Feng Shui which focuses on the prediction and forecast of one's destiny, Imperial Feng Shui focuses on helping individuals to design their own destiny.

This is achieved through empowering them to be in a state of consistent good luck.

By meticulously applying the finest and most carefully crafted Imperial Feng Shui treasures such as Jadeite, Agarwood and Sandalwood, one is able to realise their unlimited potential.

Introduction to Imperial Feng Shui

Introduction to Imperial Feng Shui - Portrait of Qian Long Emperor

The Qian Long Emperor of the Qing Dynasty is one of the most prominent advocates for Imperial Feng Shui.

With the Emperor's patronage and initiation, Imperial Feng Shui developed into a highly regarded class of premium Feng Shui reserved solely for royalty.

During his reign, the Qing Dynasty enjoyed an era of abundance and prosperity. Ruling for 268 years (1644 - 1912), the Qing Dynasty is widely known as the longest ruling dynasty.

To explain the complex concept of Imperial Feng Shui, we will begin with its most fundamental concept––the Origins of Ba Gua.

Origins of Ba Gua

Origins of Ba Gua

Before the universe morphed into and took its present form, all was vague and amorphous.

Although life existed, it was unable to sustain itself.

In the study of I-Ching (易经), this phenomena is theorised as the Great Ultimate / the Great Beginning / Wu Ji 无极.

Tai Ji, Yin and Yang and the Four Phenomena are the building blocks of Ba Gua.

Tai Ji (太极)

Over time, the universe gradually began to produce material forces.

Forces which were clear and light drifted upwards to form the Heavens.

Those that were heavy and turgid contrastingly solidified to become the Earth.

The combined essence of Heaven and Earth is known today as Tai Ji.

Yin and Yang (阴阳)

All things and events are the result of Yin and Yang.

Yin and Yang are thought of as complementary forces borne out of a conceptually whole reality stipulated within the realm of Tai Ji.

In Tai Ji, the symbols of Yin and Yang are joined in harmony to form a S-shaped jigsaw of black and white.

When the substance of Yin is separated from its accompanying Yang substance, the primal energies of life stimulating evolution are created.

Four Phenomenon

Four Phenomena

In the diagram of Yin and Yang, the segments are further divided into what is known as the Four Phenomena.

The Four Phenomena are known as Major Yang, Major Yin, Minor Yang, and Minor Yin.

The Four Phenomena represent:

  • the Four Seasons; Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter
  • the Four Life Stages; Birth, Aging, Sickness, and Death
  • the Four Directions; East, South, West and North

The Four Phenomena are then further divided into the Ba Gua, which serves as the basis of Imperial Feng Shui.

Imperial Feng Shui

During the Qing dynasty, Imperial Feng Shui masters went through years of meticulous research and development to unlock and leverage the powerful dominant forces of Yin and Yang to manifest wealth, health and success for the Imperial family.

Each type of Yin and Yang serves a specific purpose. With careful research and profound wisdom, Imperial Feng Shui masters discovered that the Four Phenomena served as the basis of improving one’s luck and wealth capacity.

They discovered the Heavenly Secret that Jadeite, Agarwood and Sandalwood were key Treasures with which the Chinese royal family could successfully unlock and achieve a consistent state of good luck with expanded wealth capacity.

Imperial Feng Shui in layman terms

Luck refers to the events, people and opportunities we encountered at the different phases of our lives.

Good luck is about being at the right place, at the right time, meeting the right people and doing the right things.

Wealth capacity refers to the income potential.

Direct wealth capacity defines the income potential of our career and business.

Indirect wealth capacity defines the income potential of our investments and trading.

By expanding one’s wealth capacity, one can accumulate a larger amount of wealth

The design of the pendant is prescribed based on the goals and aspirations of blessed Imperial Harvest clients.

When it comes to selecting an office with good Feng Shui, it is important to pay attention to these three important tips

Tip 1: No missing sectors

No Missing Sectors

If the office has a missing sector in the North-West, it will affect the performance of the CEO. If the office has a missing sector in the East, it will affect the performance of the male managers.

Tip 2: No backs should face the door

When one selects an auspicious position in the office, they should avoid having their back facing the door, otherwise it can cause you to experience backstab or malefactors at work.

The Legendary Designs of The Imperial White Ink Stone -  Part 1

Posted by Imperial Harvest on 11 September 2020

Estimated Reading Time: 3 mins

Fine art is an important pillar of Chinese culture, of all the art forms borne out of this rich and multifaceted cultural landscape, Chinese painting and calligraphy are considered to be the finest.

There are two broad categories of Chinese classical paintings; that of the scholar-officials and that of professional artists. The paintings of the literati or scholar-officials were often a reflection of their inner-thoughts, these paintings feature expressive brushwork, and are often complemented with an inscription.

Due to their influential position in society, literati paintings are highly revered and sought after by fine art collectors even in the modern day.

About Imperial White Ink Stone

Imperial White Ink Stone is the emperor grade category of ink stones exclusively reserved for Chinese Emperors. White is the rarest colour found in the category of Duanxi Ink Stones as only 0.02% of the Ink Stones mined are white.

Imperial White Ink Stone is traditionally used by Imperial Feng Shui masters to empower Chinese Emperors with noblemen, wealth and authority.

As an avid enthusiast of fine arts and Imperial Feng Shui, Emperor Qian Long commissioned and designed a variety of Ink Stones with ancient and classical styles with references from previous dynasties and inscriptions of his poetry.

To maintain the integrity of the precious ink stones, Imperial artisans applied the techniques of Chinese calligraphy and ink wash painting on ink stones using fine engraving methods, which became what is known as the Imperial standard for ink stones production.

Imperial Harvest’s Pursuit in Upholding the Same Traditions

Master David commissioned only the most experienced artisans to engrave his signature designs on the Imperial White Ink Stone using the Imperial standard. The designs are influenced by the paintings of famous Chinese artists and results in the perfect marriage between Chinese fine arts and Imperial Feng Shui heritage.

It is a time-consuming process as it can take more than a month, from designing to carving the Imperial White Ink Stone. Despite the tedious process, Master David is committed to present only the finest Imperial Feng Shui treasures to the world.

Imperial Harvest’s white ink stone collection represents the same heritage and traditions of the Imperial White Ink Stones in the Imperial Court, which projects the most potent Imperial Feng Shui energies.

Landscapes - Huang Binhong

hbh_portrait_1_new

Huang Binhong (黃賓虹) was a Chinese literati painter and art historian born in Jinhua, Zhejiang province in 1865. He is considered as one of the last innovators in the literati style of painting and is widely acclaimed for his freehand landscapes.

Landscape is also known as Shan Shui (山水), where mountains, rivers and waterfalls are prominent in this art form.

Huang Binhong had exceptional skill in the manipulation of brush and ink as well as an understanding of positive and negative spaces that emphasised the abstract nature of brushwork and the internal beauty it created.

hbh_landscapes_2_new

In his fifties, he sought to learn from the works of ancient masters and in the next decade he travelled widely throughout China to admire and study the splendour of nature. It is widely believed that Huang’s unique style only crystallised in his seventies. His landscapes bear tribute to the landscapes of the Northern Song dynasty.

Advocating ‘learning from past masters’, as well as from nature, Huang Bin Hong’s artworks captured the spirit and essences of nature at its very best.

Imperial White Ink Stone - Royal Landscape Collection

iwis_royal_landscape_cover_page

Landscape is widely known to be the highest form of Chinese painting and the epitome of Imperial Feng Shui art. Drawing inspiration from the legendary landscape painter, Master David’s style of landscape painting is the achievement of dense and cohesive structures and a balance of tonal variations in the mountains and trees.

Drawing references from Huang Binhong’s landscape paintings, the importance of the positive and negative space is replicated on the Imperial White Ink Stone. Precise and different angles of strokes were used in the paintings, portraying a painting of careful synthesis and sketch-like spontaneity, just as how Huang Binhong described paintings that played with dark and light shades - ‘the order of disorder’.

Autumn is one of the most beautiful seasons of the year. As leaves begin to fall from the trees, friends and families begin their journey to reunite before the yearly harvests. Berries emerge, embracing the autumnal air just as blooms entwine in the spring, as if nature begins to call out, and the trees can't help but become towering blossoms of flamed foliage, dancing down from the skies.

The Golden Empire depicts highland mountains in Northern China that are peaking out towards the skies, laid in a great line like the spine of the land, serving as the foundation for trees and shrubs, grass and ferns. Water from the heavens cascades down a series of rocky outcrops; a stream of slow-flowing liquid, descending gently, languid in pace.

In this article, we share the legend of Tua Di Ya Pek and the inspiration behind Master David’s signature Fine Jadeite Tua Di Ya Pek.

Legend of Tua Di Ya Pek

04092020 TYDP blog 2

In ancient China, Di Ya Pek and Tua Ya Pek used to work as constables in a yamen (衙门)during their lives as humans. On one occasion, a convict they were escorting escaped during the journey. They decided to split up and search for the escaped convict and meet again later under a bridge at a certain time.

However, Tua Ya Pek was delayed due to heavy rain so he did not reach the bridge in time. Di Ya Pek, who was on time, waited under the bridge. The heavy rain caused flooding in the area under the bridge. Di Ya Pek refused to leave because he wanted to keep his promise to his colleague, and eventually drowned. When Tua Ya Pek arrived, he was saddened to see that Di Ya Pek had drowned, so he committed suicide by hanging himself. The Jade Emperor was deeply impressed by their actions so he appointed them as deities of the Underworld.

In their new roles as deities of the Underworld, they escort spirits of the dead, whilst acting as fortune deities, rewarding devotees by blessing them with auspicious indirect luck to spot winning investments and trade opportunities that generate explosive returns, as well as occasionally blessing them with windfalls to further acquire more assets.

Legend of Zhong Kui

zhong kui blog 280820202

According to legend, Zhong Kui was a gifted scholar who topped the Imperial civil examination. However, the Emperor denied his rightful title of Imperial Scholar and high ranking court official due to his unsightly appearance. Outraged by this injustice, Zhong Kui took his own life.

During the divine judgement in his afterlife, the King of Hades saw much potential in Zhong Kui and bestowed him the title of Indirect Wealth God (偏财神钟馗), despite his grave sin of suicide.

In his previous life, Zhong Kui failed to achieve his goals and ambitions due to discriminations and lack of opportunities. Hence, he made it his mission in his current life as the Indirect God of Wealth to help devotees achieve massive financial breakthroughs via investments, trading and windfalls. He removes malefactors and creates the opportunity for one to start anew, bringing them a step closer to the ultimate goal of financial freedom.

The Fine Jadeite Zhong Kui summons the five wealth goblins to create five powerful and massive sources of wealth and prosperity - stock investment, speculative trading (FOREX and stocks), windfalls (4d/toto), property investments and other exotic investments. The Five Wealth Goblins also attract powerful explosive opportunities, deals and inspirations for its destined owners, from all industries across different geographies, enabling its destined owner to have massive gains and breakthroughs.

Wealth Commanding Sword

The Wealth Commanding Sword commands influence and authority for the destined owner. Influence is the key to explosive success in the modern economy, and is the reason why many modern-day influencers are able to become overnight millionaires through their followers’ support. Authority is equally important, as being recognised as the leading authority in the industry enables you to have an unfair advantage over your peers in the real estate and financial advisory industries.

Wealth Fetching Chain

The Wealth Fetching Chain used by Zhong Kui helps to secure million-dollar opportunities, preventing them from being stolen away from harmful malefactors. The Wealth Fetching Chain also securely locks away your wealth, and removes greedy malefactors that are standing in your path to success, preventing the leakage of wealth.
