The Imperial Harvest Cut is a testament representative to impeccable jadeite jewellery. The jadeites used for the collection are unique and have specific qualities that establish their allure.

Imperial Harvest Cut jadeites are translucent, vibrant in colour and smooth to the touch. When light reaches into these jadeites, it goes deep within the stone, giving Imperial Harvest Cut jadeites their glowing appearance.

Translucency in jadeites are rare and clear translucent jadeites from the Imperial Harvest Cut collection are an exceedingly rare and precious find. Furthermore, rarity increases exponentially with size. A larger jadeite would affect the translucency of the material as light would have to pass through a larger cross-sectional area of the jadeite.

The Imperial Harvest cut upholds the highest standards for quality and translucency in jadeite jewellery for every individual ring.  Each jadeite is carefully handled by our in-house artisans, where they expertly hand-craft and continuously polish each ring until achieving the benchmark Imperial Harvest standard.

When selecting the perfect jadeite, there are four different components to consider: cut, colour, carat and clarity — otherwise known as the Four Cs of jadeite quality.

The 4-Cs

Every jadeite in this stunning collection is unique and one-of-a-kind, where no two pieces are the same. The 4Cs—colour, clarity, cut and carat weight—are the highest standards for assessing the quality of a jadeite. These four characteristics interact to create an optimal result of beauty and elegance.

Colour

Although jadeite is almost synonymous with the word green, Imperial Harvest jadeites come in a range of colours which includes green, white, lavender, yellow and black to match your favourable element.

Carat

carat size

Carat refers to the weight of the jadeite, not the size. The Imperial Harvest Cut jadeites are purposely cut to maximise brilliance, not carat weight. Carat weight can appear differently across different jadeite cuts. Imperial Harvest Cut jadeites are not only classic and timeless, they are the most brilliant. They are cut to allow for maximum light return.

Clarity

clarity

Imperial Harvest's strict jadeite grading standards are executed with expertise, integrity and accuracy. The clarity of an Imperial Harvest jadeite is measured by the purity and rarity of the precious gemstone.  They are graded by the visibility of these characteristics under 10x magnification.

A stone is graded as flawless if there are no inclusions and blemishes visible under 10x magnification. Imperial Harvest rejects any jadeites with noticeable imperfections to the untrained eye.

Cut

Cut is the most important factor in the 4Cs. Without a high cut grade, even jadeite cabochons of the highest quality can appear dull and lifeless. The cut of a jadeite cabochon does not refer to its shape, but to the balance of proportion, symmetry and polish achieved.

The extent of how well the jadeite is cut is directly related to the jadeite ring's overall beauty. Imperial Harvest’s uncompromising philosophy is the reason why the Imperial Harvest Cut is an exceptional treasure.
